‘Specific Category’ – Online Declaration System for Standard Scenarios (STS-x)
UAS Operators that intend to conduct operations in the ‘Specific’ category, can use our online Declaration System to submit their declarations.
Our system is designed to accept 3 kind of Declarations, which are explained below:
1. Operational Declaration for compliance with a Standard Scenario (STS-x) – for those UAS operators that wish to conduct operations covered by a published Standard Scenario. At the moment there are only 2 published Standard Scenarios by EASA: STS-1, and STS-2. Operators should comply with Appendix 1 of Commission Implementing Regulation 2020/639.
2. UAS Operator Declaration to conduct Practical Skill Training and Assessment of Remote Pilots in Standard Scenario (STS-x) – for those UAS operators that wish to declare compliance with the requirements in Appendix 3 of Commission Implementing Regulation 2020/639.
3. Entity Declaration to conduct Practical Skill Training and Assessment of Remote Pilots in Standard Scenario (STS-x) – for those entities that wish to declare compliance with the requirements in Appendix 3 of Commission Implementing Regulation 2020/639.
By submitting a declaration you have to pay the relevant fee. Provided all information you have provided is correct, you will automatically receive a confirmation of receipt and completeness. After that you are entitled to start operations. The validity of all of the above declarations is 2 years.
For the purpose of demonstrating compliance with Commission Implementing Regulation 2019/947, an UAS operator shall grant to any person, that is duly authorised by the Competent Authority, access to any facility, documents, records, data, procedures or to any other material relevant to its activity, which is subject to the declaration, regardless of whether or not its activity is contacted or subcontracted to another organisation.
